On February 2nd, 2010, pancakes came to Birmingham, more specifically the Vale Campus at Birmingham University.  Enjays opened a new unit for the 1200 residents on campus and it has proved to be an instant success.

Serving both sweet and savoury pancakes, the students have options for any part of the day.  Unsurprisingly, Nutella has been the most popular choice, with students coming up with their own varieties, including Marshmallows and Banana!

Initially, it was only going to open twice per week, but due to unwavering demand it is now open four times per week, serving over 200 pancakes every lunch time.

Kevin Herbert, the campus’ general manager, says: “this unit has been fantastic for us, as it really enhances our customer’s eating experience.”

Following on from the success in the Vale Campus, Enjays have been approached to install 2 further concepts in other campuses around the university.
